DAILY CREATE: Week 8

This week, we colored a TV show and made scribble monsters, we made snowflakes and showcased an ideal font, we talked about our dream life and picked a song that brings back memories! I liked all the daily creates this week, so it’s going to be hard to choose a favorite, although I will say this about a couple of the daily’s-

Thinking about the past and future is a little bittersweet, so I’ll leave the memories in the past and stick in a pin in the future, because it hasn’t happened yet. To quote the great Ricky Nelson- “if memories were all I sang, I rather drive a truck.” (It isn’t mentally healthy to dwell on things we used to have and don’t have anymore, nor on things we wish we had but don’t have, so moving on- )

I really liked the snowflake task because it was a program that I didn’t know existed, and I like learning about cool programs and thinking about the code behind them (I can only imagine the programming behind Paper Snowflake). I also liked the ideal font task – not because I like typography (I really don’t) but because I like thinking about writing and languages. Ancient forms of writing are interesting to me, which is why I picked cuneiform as my ideal font.

I liked doing the scribble monster because it was cathartic to just make a scribble, which ended up being a kind of monster that represents the stress I’m feeling with school work. For the same reason of enjoyment, I liked coloring ‘The Golden girls.’ That one was probably my favorite because I enjoy coloring with colored pencils. I don’t think enough people just sit down and draw/color. It’s a very relaxing activity, and I got a few compliments on my shading at the car dealership (yes, I was coloring at the dealership like a crazy person because they make you wait forever, haha).

Here are all my daily’s for the week:
